Fulfilment is the process that is put into action
once an order is registered, and is responsible for ensuring the dispatch
and delivery of a product to a customer.
In its broadest definition the processing steps are:
a) Sales quote.
b) Order booking.
c) Order processing, comprising of picklists, order handling & packing
and stock management.
d) Billing.
The fulfilment module consists of the following components:
- Management of warehouse and storage locations.
- Stock registration and modifications: inbound, outbound and displacement.
- Order search and management.
- Order handling based on picklists.
- Availability verification.
