In most cases Fescalo runs on one server, while typical workstations can
be
located anywhere. Since all system output (business logic, interfaces and
functions)
is delivered from the server in real-time, it makes the management and maintenance
of the application efficient and centralized, since local- or remote workstations
are not affected by changes to the application itself.
As with many software projects, Fescalo is subjected to upgrades, patches,
customizations and expansions. In order to streamline the update process
of
the application Fescalo can connect remotely to a Fescalo Update Server,
similar
to the update-method users experience when Microsoft Windows upgrades
its operating
system. Fescalo will automatically retrieve the required files and install
them
without the need to reboot the server.
